Life Admin - Visa

More than 50 banks from the GCC and wider Middle East region have emerged as winners at this year’s International Finance Magazine (IFM) Awards. Financial institutions from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lebanon and more have been named the top of their country categories, with the awards scheduled to be presented at a gala in London this November.

The London-based magazine and its annual competition recognise and honours individuals and organisations in the international finance industry that make a significant difference and add value. These include path-breaking initiatives in corporate social responsibility or charitable activities, better corporate governance and other achievements that impact the global finance community.

This year’s winners include the UAE’s Mashreq Bank (Best Mobile Banking, Most Innovative Bank and Best Internet Bank), Saudi British Bank (Best Mobile Banking, Best Internet Bank and Best Customer Service Bank), and Kuwait’s Gulf Bank (Best Retail Customer Service Bank and Best Retail Bank).

Last year, the IFM awards were presented by Lord Sheikh, Baron Sheikh of Cornhill, House of Lords; Sheikh Bilal Khan, UK Catalyst at UKTI and Co-Chairman of Dome Advisory and Peter Meyer, CEO, Middle East Association. Winners came from as far as Australia and Mexico to the awards ceremony in the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London.
